About

I build software with care for the user, the system, and the team that has to maintain it.

I am a DevOps-focused full stack developer with hands-on experience deploying production services, containerizing backend systems, and building Node.js/Next.js applications backed by MongoDB. I enjoy work that sits across application code, infrastructure, reliability, and practical troubleshooting.

Background

A practical path into production software.

My strongest work happens where practical application development meets operational responsibility: APIs, dashboards, Dockerized services, deployment, debugging, and clear communication with the people using the system.

I approach development as a craft of useful tradeoffs. A polished interface matters, but so does the API contract behind it. A clean abstraction helps, but only if it reduces real complexity. A fast first release is valuable when the implementation can still be operated, debugged, and extended.

My recent work has centered on production services for restaurant operations, backend APIs, authenticated dashboards, Docker-based delivery, and industrial monitoring interfaces. I like work where the code has to survive real users, changing requirements, and the occasional production mystery.

I am drawn to roles where I can own meaningful slices of production work, collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, and improve reliability through clear systems, practical automation, and careful debugging.

Strengths

How I tend to create value.

These are the habits I try to bring into every project, from small public repos to live operational systems.

Own the whole path

I am comfortable moving from requirements to implementation, deployment, production debugging, and stakeholder follow-up.

Make systems observable

I trace issues through logs, networking, API behavior, and user reports instead of treating bugs as isolated UI problems.

Build for maintainers

I keep components, content, routes, and data structures easy to update so the next change is less expensive.

Milestones

Current direction and growth.

My current direction is deeper production ownership: stronger Kubernetes fundamentals, better security habits, and services that are easier to operate.

  1. 2026

Deepening Kubernetes and container security expertise

Building on CKA and CKAD certification work while targeting CKS and production security hardening.

  2. 2025

    Completed Computer Science degree

Graduated from the University of Victoria with a B.Sc. in Computer Science.

  3. 2024

    Built and operated production services

Shipped restaurant operations systems and backend services with Docker, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and Next.js.

Current focus

I am looking for DevOps, full-stack, backend, and software development roles where I can help ship reliable web services, improve deployment workflows, and keep building deeper cloud and Kubernetes experience.
